Wishing all our SurfRider families a cozy, relaxing holiday season filled with family, friends, and fun. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in January!
☕️ SLIP Principal's Coffee with Mrs. Sleet
January 14th 8:15-9:15AM
Join us in the Science Lab to learn more about how students’ language acquisition and content knowledge grow throughout their elementary experience. You will hear directly from several of our SLIP students as they showcase their learning and biliteracy. We will also share updates on how our program continues to grow and evolve.
During this event, there will be a Spanish Book Swap! Families are invited to bring gently used Spanish books they are finished with and exchange them for new-to-you titles from other families. It’s a fun and sustainable way to keep great stories circulating in our community.
🎭 Imagination Machine
January 22nd
The Imagination Machine is coming to Del Mar Hills January 22nd!
All SurfRiders previously had the opportunity to craft their own original stories at school. Now we’ll see which stories were selected to be performed live by professional actors during a special assembly.

Monthly Breakfast and Lunch Menu: Child Nutrition Services (CNS) provides free meals to all DMUSD students!
Independent Study Contract: Make sure to submit a travel contract if you have a planned absence of 5-14 days, and also email your child's teacher at least 5 school days prior to your planned absence. Your teacher(s) can provide an Independent Study Contract, and your child's absences will be excused upon its completion. The school work will be due the day that your child returns to class
